Gave Cooper his breakfast and then we walked around and eventually back inside.
Around 9.30 Cooper started to bark and I got up to see who it was and Alan was at the back door. I asked him why was he here and he said he came out to fix the ride on lawn mower and the compressor for me. Unfortunately for me my heart was crashing and thumping the whole time. In fact he looked as little surprised when I said I didn't need him to come out I just need him to tell me in an email what to do to fix the tyre.
As i was leaving at 9.30 I asked him how he was going and he said "everything is ok, but different!" well that certainly says a thousand words. He doesn't look happy to me.
When I came back he was still here and was slashing the front lawn and then he did the first emu pen because he said it was looking very snakie.
When he finished I asked him if he would like a drink and he came inside and sat down with me. this time he sat on the same lounge unlike what he did a couple of weeks ago when he sat on the other lounge.
He told me how Gilly had been taking him all over the place meeting her friends and family. Although it surprised me a little when he told me that someone had said they didn't want the "Gilly and Alan show over Christmas!" so apparently to stop that from happening Gilly has been taking Alan around to all her family and friends that will be there at Christmas so he doesn't need to be introduced to them on the day. He also said "they" were all like the rest from the South East - always talking about everyone! which is something he hates and even said that today. so all in all I'm not sure how happy he will be on Christmas Day. I also told him that I will never forget how he said I had become boring since I left work and he was absolutely shocked and said he would never had said that because it wasn't true, but I told him its exactly what he said so he said he must have been in a mess because it wasn't true and he apologised
Alan also asked what i was doing on Christmas day and I told him I would be with James' family and that Janette had asked me up to Daylesford and Pam and Eddie had also asked me in for breakfast and dinner on Christmas Day.
Alan also offered to take the caravan to anywhere I might like to stay over Christmas but I declined the offer as I said to him it wouldn't be much fun being by myself.
Just spoke to Le-Anne Quince and we are going to a play in the Concert Hall on Wednesday night and she told me that they have just sold their houseboat at Eildon - in 4 days - how good is that. Le will also take me down to their holiday house in Sorrento next week, so that's something to look forward to.
I also asked Alan to transfer the Trademark over top my name and he did that straight away.
I sent an email to Alan telling him about the sale of the houseboat and of the Christmas day invitations. At the end of his email he said the following:
- "With Gillie, it seems the relative thought we were getting far too serious, and when I came home from the holidays Nette told me Gillie didn't want me to call her because she had someone else. However, she didn't and it seems her aunt used something similar to get her out of the picture. I didn't do anything about it because it seemed so final."
this seems pretty amazing to me that after all these years she can remember that she didn't have anyone!!! So I wrote back to Alan which would be my first ever love letter (email) I told him how even though everything looked pretty final to me that I wasn't going to give up on him and that I wanted him back. So far he hasn't replied and to be honest he probably wont. I put into writing what i have never said to him so I don't know how he will react but I can live with hope even if it is only a slight flicker of hope.
